General
- 38 years of age
- grew up in southeast Ontario, based in Calgary since 1996 and the west generally since 1991
former officer/navigator in the Air Force; served a total of 8 years; flew on C-130 Hercules
- contract training specialist since 1997
- functionally bilingual, though a little rusty
- education: BEng (RMC), BEd (Queen’s) & BA (U of Manitoba)
Diabetes
- rapid onset diabetes was diagnosed Friday 13th of Dec., 2002 at age 34
- managed as Type II for 10 months, then became insulin dependent Type I
- Chris has been extremely pro-active in his treatment and his family doctor has had supreme confidence in his ability to self-manage in full knowledge of his very active lifestyle
